Temple Square

Our first attempt at going to Temple Square ended with a blizzard, freezing temperatures and us staying home. Our second attempt, the day started fine (a little over cast, but not bad), then by the time we were ready to go it was raining. But we decided it was now or never. So we bundled everyone up and hoped for the best. When we first got to City Creek it was a MAD HOUSE! I had forgotten that it was also the Christmas concert that night at the Conference Center. But by about 7:00 it was great! THere was hardly anyone there! Of course it was still raining, but we didn't mind.
We got the kids 3D glasses for them to use. When you look at the Christmas lights they become snowmen snow flakes, stars, or reindeer. They were really cool!
As you can tell in the pictures, it was really coming down, but being all bundled up we stayed fairly dry and warm. And it was nice that there were so few people out then. My kids mentioned that this was the first year that they were actually able to see the baby Jesus in the manger scene!
So, my thoughts on go to see the lights in a rainstorm..... Totally worth it!!
