Crazy Cameron

The other day just before bedtime the kids were playing with their Mr. Potato Head toys. Pug took the big toothy smile from one of them and played with it in his mouth as his smile. After we put the kids to bed Pug went up to check on the kids and make sure they were actually asleep. When he came back downstairs he was laughing so hard and told me that I had to go and see Cameron. When I saw him I knew that I had to run and get my camera. Kids can be so much fun!!

Another ER Trip

Abby gets her cast off today, so I guess that she needed something else for sympathy. Yesterday morning McKenzie, Cameron and Abby were downstairs playing while Pug and I pretended to be asleep for a few more minutes. All of a sudden we hear a huge crash and a bloodcurdling scream. We jumped out of bed and ran down the stair to see Abby near the bottom of the stair with blood pouring down her face. It was bleeding so hard and it would not stop. Abby stopped crying and started to close her eyes and was having a hard time breathing. Pug and I were very concerned that she was loosing consciousness. So we called 911. After a few minutes we got the bleeding to slow down enough to not be scary and her breathing evened out. We told them not to send an ambulance and we would take her to the ER ourselves. Luckily we have the most wonderful neighbors- Tony and Melissa- who took McKenzie and Cameron ( it was a Sunday they had to get their kids ready and now ours plus she just had a baby- I love you guys!!!). At the ER we had to wait almost 2 hours before we got back- there were 2 ambulances that showed up while we were waiting. When we got back there the doctor was laughing. I guess it isn't everyday that you see a baby who has already broken her foot come in with a gash on her forehead. Anyways, she ended up getting 6 stitches in her head. She was so good! She didn't wiggle or cry at all while they stitched her up. What a good little girl. I just hope that we don't have to go back again anytime soon!!!!

Michigan Trip

Well, we arrived home safe and sound on Wednesday. It was quite the difficult plane ride with Abby. Of the 3 hour and 45 min ride I think she screamed for 3 hours. Lets just say I was glad when we finally got off! As for our trip it was a lot of fun!! We went to many different places and did lots of fun things. We went to Nauvoo and Carthage and saw all of the wonderful sites there. We went to the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo- which is the largest privately owned and funded air and space museum. We went to Shipshewanna, Indiana which is a cute little Amish and Mennonite town. We were able to do some shopping, have dinner and go on a carriage ride. We also took a trip out to Lake Michigan to enjoy the beach and the water. Not to mention all of the fun times just being with Grandma and swimming in her swimming pool. Thanks Mom for letting us invade your home, and for providing so much fun and wonderful memories!!

Quick Hello

This is just a quick hello. I am still in Kalamazoo, Michigan enjoying time with my parents. The kids a loving it at Grandma and Pa Bob's house. They have a swimming pool, so whenever it has been warm enough we have gone swimming. McKenzie is such a good swimmer she no longer needs a life jacket or floaties. Both her a Cameron love to go off the diving board. Cameron has perfected his barrel roll dive, it is quite interesting to watch. Luckily Abby has a water proof cast so she can enjoy the water as well. Tomorrow we take off for Nauvoo to see the sites. Hope all is well with everyone. If I get a chance I will post again before we leave.

Abby's Cast

We went to the doctor's this afternoon so that Abby could get her leg looked at. They did decide to put a cast on it. When asked what color she wanted she said "pupu" or purple for the rest of us. Here is a picture of her with her cast. Tomorrow the kids and I are taking off for Michigan. We will have lots of fun pictures when we get back- July 23.

Computer is back!

Wow!! After 4 weeks of having no computer I am back in business! Just a little update of what has happened in the last few days. On Tuesday night Abby and McKenzie were chasing each other on the sidewalk while I was weeding and Pug (aka Jeff) was mowing the lawn. The next thing I know Abby is screaming and laying on the sidewalk. She wouldn't walk or stand. All she would do is cry. There was no bruising, or swelling or anything! So, we gave her some ibuprofen and sent her to bed. The next morning she still couldn't walk, so i made a doctors appointment for later that day. Well, after 4 x-rays and a lot a waiting the doctor told us that she has a salter harris II fracture of the first medatarsal- in english, she broke the growth plate in her foot. They referred us to Primary Childrens Hospital in their pediatric orthopaedic center. However they only see fracture patients on Wednesday. Well I am going to Michigan on Tuesday for 15 days. So, yesterday, after calling 13 doctors, I finally found someone who can see her and get a cast on her foot. I will post some pictures as soon as I can of her cute little cast.
