Abby's FHE

Abby was in charge of our Family Home Evening lesson a while back. We discussed what we can do during the sacrament to help us remember Jesus, and to keep reverent. This is the list that Abby wrote all by herself!!

She is so excited to be able to be baptized this year! She is always talking about it, about what will happen. I am so proud of my cute little Abby.

Cameron's Battle of the Books

At our school we have a program called Battle of the Books. Each year there are twenty books selected for this list. Then students are divided into teams. Those teams will read all the books, then they compete against each other answering questions about each book. This year, Cameron's team made it all the way up to the semi finals! I was so proud of him and all of the hard work he put in to reading those books! Way to go Cameron!!

Happy Anniversary!

March 9th marked Pug's and mine 14th anniversary. It is been a crazy wonderful roller coaster! There have been ups and downs, good times and hard times. But we have stuck together through it all and will continue to stick together through it all. I love you Pug! So glad you decided I was worth it!!

I have a Teenager?!?!

February 28th I officially became the mother of a teenager!! AACCKK!! How did this happen? She is growing up way too fast!!

She chose to go eat dinner at Costa Vida (one of her new favorite restaurants) on her birthday.

Then this year she was able to pick one friend to go and do something fun. She decided that she wanted to go ice skating. Here she is with her friend Megan at the Peaks Ice Arena.

What can I say about McKenzie? She is such an amazing young woman. I am amazed at the things she has accomplished already. I rarely ever have to get after her. She is so sweet, and kind, and loving. The perfect big sister to Cameron and Abby. I see and hear horror stories of parents dealing with their unruly teenagers and I can't help but think how lucky I am that I have Kenzie! Over the past year she has really had some hard trials to go through- things I have never had to do. Her best friend moved to Las Vegas right before middle school started, her grandmother quite unexpectedly passed away right after school started, she finally starts to make good friends in the ward, and they split the ward leaving her without her friends yet again. And yet through it all, she has been strong and faithful. Her testimony is way stronger than mine was at her age. I can't wait to see how amazing she will be as she gets older.

McKenzie, I love you so much and I am so glad that Heavenly Father sent you to us! Happy #13!

Free UVU Game!

One nice thing about having kids at school, is that sometimes you get some really cool things for free. Like free tickets to the UVU basketball game! Cameron and Abby both brought home free tickets! We actually ended up with 9 tickets! It was fun to go and do something together as a family that didn't cost any money. And they even walked away with some cool prizes like these AWESOME glasses!
