A Fit Life

For awhile now I have been noticing that my life seems to be at a stand still. I do the same thing everyday, worry about the same stuff everyday, make the same foods every week, do the same laundry every couple of days, etc., etc. I seemed to have some sort of epiphany this morning. I need to be fit. Now I am no talking just about exercising- which I do need to do- but my whole life. I did start running awhile back to train for a half marathon, but after having intense knee pain I have stopped for now. At the moment I am starting some weight training (thanks to Amy Mutchler for the ideas!). I am sore to say the least, but in a good way- I am doing something new. But the rest of my life still seems stagnant. I need to get spiritually fit, financially fit, my house needs to be "fit" (i.e. clean and organized), spending quality time with the kids needs to be fit, my meals need to be fit (good meals that my kids will eat). So, if any of you have any ideas for any of these issues let me know- how and when you study scriptures, how you budget, how you can spend quality time with each child and have a clean house, any recipes that are an especially big hit in your family...whatever help you can give.

Disneyland and our 9th anniversary

This post should have been done a while ago, but there just isn't enough time int he day to do everything that needs to be done, so here it is now. Back on March 9th Jeff and I celebrated our 9th anniversary. Luckily, my mom was in town for McKenzie's baptism- so we asked her if she would stay an extra week and watch our kids. So, the day after Kenzie's baptism we left for a grand adventure- DISNEYLAND! I know, that is usually a place to go with the kids (and we have taken them there a few times before), but we wanted to go and have fun without them. It was great. Sunday night we stayed in St. George, then drove to Cali on Monday. Monday afternoon was spent at the beach followed by dinner at In-N-Out. The next three days were at Disneyland. It was perfect. It was early enough in the year that the crowds were very minimal and the weather was great- mid 60's. It was nice to walk around holding hands and only have to think about each other. There were times when we missed the kids, but we knew they were in good hands.

Just a few pictures from the wedding day- man do we look young!

Baptism Day

Back on March 7th I was able to see my McKenzie be baptized by her daddy. It was such a wonderful day. There were so many family members and friends who came and joind us for the special occasion. I am so proud of McKenzie and the choice that she has made to be baptized a member of the Church. She has such a sweet spirit and is an exmple to me of Christ like love.

More McKenzie- her party

I have been a big slacker in the blogging department lately, so here are just a few pictures from Kenzies party. As you can see from the number of girls there it was a wild and crazy party. She was even lucky enough to have a sleep over with two of her cousins that were there.
